The April Quilt show at Lamar Dixon went well.  The donated raffle quilt made $1000 and one of my quilts won a ribbon. Well, it wasn't really MY quilt.  A donater pieced it and I quilted it. Now the guild will start over with a new stash of quilts waiting for needed recipients.
Is it already passed Mother's Day?  WOW! The older we get the faster time flies!  Happy Belated Mother's Day to all you avid bloggers, quilters and Mothers!

I'm sure all you sewers, be it quilting or other things have had to rip out or "unsew" seams or stitches! 

Well, I found a very expensive seam ripper with a rubber tip on the end.   When you take out stitches, you have all those little threads which are a pain to remove from the needle holes.  I thought "If rubber will do it, why spend all that money for a seam ripper?"   So.............. out of my drawer came a simple, cheap eraser!  The big kind, I can hold in my hand!  Walla!  It worked like a charm!   All you have to do is rub the eraser over those little threads, and they come right out!

HeHeHe!  Didn't I tell you.."Try it, you'll like it."  ?

I'm swamped with charity quilts right now.  They ( the "guild") are getting ready for a big show in April to present various organizations with quilts.  Numerous guilds in the gulf states have been envited to come and display and present their quilts also.  I brought home 4 tops this week which are ready for quilting.  One person has 4 which she is "prepping " for me and one other person has 2 which she is prepping.  One of those persons also has completed a top which she will bring for me to quilt also.  

I love my long arm quilting machine and we get along fine, until she decides to have a "snit".  :)

I learned a new name for the "Drunkard's Path" quilt block.  A designer friend calls it her  "Bubbles" quilt.  I think I like that better, and with the right arrangement and colors, it really does look like pretty little bubbles!  :)

Haven't been blogging much.  Too much other stuff going on. :(

I'm so excited!  I just learned how to put an avatar and banner on my Etsy store!  It rained yesterday and rainy today, so I can't take quilt photos outside...............But hope to have all my current quilts up and my Etsy opened by the end of this week!  Yeh!

Connie came today and learned to use the serger.  She made an apron for her Mom and a plastic bag holder for a friend.   Good job Connie.

I spent the whole day yesterday working on this blog.  I have learned I need to make some alterations.  Can't deal with that today.  I MUST  get some quilting done!
